Outgoing chair Prof Chepkilot wished the new team well and assured them of full confidence that they would move the association to the next level. Prof. Chepkilot pointed out that the new office had 3 former officials who would provide the necessary institutional memory required to run the office efficiently. The report was signed and Constitution handed over to the new chair Dr Peter Moindi and a brief photo session was held.
Appreciated the Professor for leadership and meetings even during covid and post covid season-they held about 4 meetings on zoom. That it is about serving and giving.
Appreciated his representation and his vision of having the new generation being given more opportunity to feel part of the Alumni which was realized in the April elections. He assured the 2000s ability to bring out passion and pride in doing great things. He promised to inject more energy in dispensing things things in the in-tray.
Incoming Chairman’s Remarks.
Appreciated support by the new office and smooth transition by the old office. He noted that the retention of three members in the incoming team would serve as an institutional memory. That the new team was balanced between the 1990s and 2000s year groups was another strength.
The outgoing chairman was appreciated as strong and active member of the Veterans group (1979-1986). He lauded the report from the outgoing chairman which would now be the baseline report to be referred in future reports. He pointed out the possibility of having trustees especially from the Veterans in its structure in the future.
He wished the very best Prof Chepkilot as he serves as a senior member of the Alumni. He allowed a few statements from the incoming office bearers to Prof Chepkilot.
